Raghava Lawrence’s political move in connection with Vijay

Interestingly, Raghava Lawrence’s political announcement came when reports suggested that he might contest from the Trichy East Assembly seat. The seat remained empty after Vijay decided to opt out. Vijay contested from Trichy East and Perambur in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections held on 23 April. He won both seats but then had to choose one seat as the candidate could not hold two seats in the Assembly. Vijay decided to continue with Perambur.
