New Delhi: Rafael Nadal has denied rumors he plans to run for Real Madrid president after being linked with the role following the Spanish club’s disappointing season.Speculation began after current president Florentino Perez announced new club elections. With Madrid ending the season without a major trophy, many fans were unhappy, and reports claimed Nadal could be in the running to replace Perez. However, the tennis legend quickly rubbished the claims.
“I have read reports that link me to potential candidates for the presidency of Real Madrid. I would like to clarify that these reports are not true,” Nadal posted on X.Peres also made it clear that he has no intention of resigning despite criticism from supporters after a poor campaign.
