TN SSLC Result 2026: Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu has released district wise performance data along with TN SSLC Result 2026. The state recorded an overall pass percentage of 94.31 in the Class 10 public examinations, slightly better than last year’s 93.80 per cent.More than 8.70 lakh students appeared in the SSLC exams held between March 11 and April 6 this year. Students can now check their provisional mark sheets online through official result portals.
Tamil Nadu Class 10 Result 2026: Pudukottai tops.
Pudukottai emerged as the best performing district in Tamil Nadu with a pass percentage of 97.57 in the SSLC examinations. Sivagangai followed closely with 97.54 per cent, while Thanjavur secured the third position with 97.41 per cent.Trichy registered 97.31 per cent and Kanyakumari registered 97.30 per cent in the district-wise performance table released by the board after the declaration of results.
TN 10th Result: Chennai ranks 29th in the state rankings.
Chennai stood 29th among the districts with an overall pass percentage of 92.34%. The district recorded lower performance than many districts in South and Central Tamil Nadu which crossed the 95% mark this year.Other districts including Tiruvellur, Chingalpato and Vellore also recorded pass percentages lower than the overall state average.
TN Results 10th 2026: Government school performance data released.
Among the government schools, Siva Gangai secured the top position with 97.42 percent pass. Pudukottai followed with 97.09 per cent, while Thanjavur recorded 96.89 per cent in the government school category.The state’s overall pass percentage for government schools stood at 91.86 percent this year. A total of 1,931 government schools secured 100 percent results in the SSLC examinations.
Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2026: Thousands of schools cross 95% results.
Board data shows that 5,171 schools secured 100 per cent pass percentage this year. Apart from this, 8,233 schools secured more than 95% pass percentage, including 3,463 government schools.Tamil Nadu also recorded strong performance from private schools, securing the highest overall pass percentage across school categories at 98.14 per cent.
