The Prince of Wales, 43, dropped the hint at a recent appearance that had royal watchers and Swifties talking in equal measure. Her comment about a potential wedding invitation became one of the most talked about royal moments of the week.Appearing on UK radio show “Heart Breakfast” on Friday morning alongside hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, William was asked live about the upcoming nuptials. After performing Swift’s ‘Opalite’ for her children Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, Theakston said, “We think there’s going to be a big wedding this summer,” to which Holden replied, asking, “Oh yeah! Did you get an invite?” William replied: “No comment. I hope so, and I’m sure there could be an invitation around, but we’ll see.’

Swift, 36, is set to marry Kansas City Chiefs player Kelce, also 36, although the couple has not publicly shared details of their big day. During an appearance on the ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’ podcast in September, guest Jimmy Fallon asked about wedding music plans, to which Travis replied, “Yeah, I think we’re live music people, you know?” Additionally, PEOPLE reported in September 2025 that the couple “want to keep it more private” when they tie the knot. “It will definitely be a private affair and not a show. Both have a close circle of friends, and will respect their privacy,” the outlet reported.

William’s wedding tease came as he attended Swift’s Eras Tour in June 2024 with Princess Charlotte and Prince George, 12, in a radio appearance on Friday that he described as an “amazing” experience.“Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, Charlotte in particular, are obsessed with Taylor Swift. We went to see her on her Eras Tour, and it was amazing,” William told the hosts.
