'PM Modi should have fired you': Rahul Gandhi, Dharmendra Pradhan trade on CBSEOSM controversy
Rahul Gandhi, Dharmendra Pradhan

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi On Thursday, he retaliated against the Union Education Minister. Dharmendra Pradhan Hours later, Pradhan defended the contract awarded to COEMPT for CBSE results. The row has come amid complaints from several students and parents of alleged low marks, gross errors and issues related to CBSE’s online evaluation process. In a post on X, the Congress leader accused Pradhan of involvement and said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi really cared about students, he should have been removed from office.“Dharmendra Pradhan ji, you can attack me all you want, but that will not absolve you of your crimes. Who will stop me from demanding answers for 18.5 lakh children,” Rahul wrote in a post on X.“If the Prime Minister cares, he should have sacked you long ago for ruining the future of millions of students,” he added.Responding to Rahul’s earlier post, Pradhan on Thursday alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi seems disillusioned by the constant electoral defeats and is not keeping up with India’s scientific progress. The education minister also accused Rahul Gandhi of repeatedly opposing India’s technological and scientific progress. At the same time, he appealed to the political leaders not to create tension among the students.“Rahul Gandhi seems to have reached a different state of mind. Due to constant election defeats, he seems disillusioned. He opposed SIR, he opposed EVM, and he opposed Digital India. He does not seem to stand with India’s scientific progress,” Pradhan said.In a post on Wednesday, Rahul had questioned the contract awarded to COEMPT, a company he claimed had earlier faced controversy under its earlier name Globarina.“Name changed — but intention same, nature same. Everyone knew the history, yet the contract was awarded. The future of 1.85 million children was handed over to such a company, and no one batted an eye. It’s not a mistake — it’s a deliberate conspiracy,” Rahul wrote.
