AFP reported that the actor died of a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS. A statement from his daughters was shared, confirming the news of his death.Note: “It is with deep emotion that we announce the death of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday after a sudden and severe case of ALS.” Deny appeared in seasons 3 and 4 of ‘Emily in Paris’ and played Louis de Léon, the CEO of luxury fashion brand JVMA and Nicolas’ father. Nicholas was Mindy’s love interest in the series.

As soon as the news was shared online, fans, netizens and even colleagues paid their respects to the late actor. Famous singer and actress Sylvie Vartan, who is also Deny’s close friend, shared a tribute post to the actor on her social media account. She shared a photo of the two, adding: “I have just learned of Pierre Deny’s passing with great sadness. I shared some very good moments with him in Isabelle Mergault’s play. He was a generous actor and a sensitive and funny man. In these painful moments, all my thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.”Paul Forman, who played her son in ‘Emily in Paris’, paid his respects to the actress by taking to her social media account. She shared a photo of the actor from her time on the show and wrote: “Heartbroken to hear of Pierre Deny’s death. It was a privilege to work alongside him and witness his warmth and talent up close.
