Buchi Babu Sana’s sports action drama ‘Peddi’ starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor has entered a first week slowdown after a strong opening weekend. The film opened in theaters on June 4 following paid previews on June 3, to mixed reviews.According to Sacnilk, ‘Peddi’ collected 7.55 crore nett on its seventh day in India. The film recorded this collection in 7,535 shows nationwide. The 7th day figure represents a 22.2% drop from the 6th day collection of 9.70 crores.
Indian collections close to 190 crores
Despite the drop in collections, ‘Peddi’ continues to hold strong at the overall box office. The film’s net collection in India has increased to 187.25 crores. The film’s gross collection in India now stands at Rs 222.53 crore.
The foreign market is added to the worldwide strong
‘Peddi’ has also been consistently performing overseas. On day 7, the film added Rs 80 lakh from international markets. This took the gross overseas collection to 48.80 crores. The film’s worldwide gross collection has now reached 271.33 crores.
The Telugu version continues to lead the occupation
‘Peddi’ had an overall Telugu occupancy of 21.58%. The film had an occupancy of 15.15% in the morning screenings, which increased to 24.46% in the afternoon. Evening shows registered 25.15%, night shows closed at 21.54%.The Hindi version had a lower overall occupancy of 9.25% and the morning occupancy was 5.33%, while the afternoon and evening shows recorded 9.42% each. Night shows fared comparatively better with 12.42% occupancy.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets were once again the biggest contributors to the film on Day 7. The region generated a gross of Rs 6.50 crore.Karnataka followed with Rs 60 lakh, while Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 25 lakh. Kerala added Rs 5 lakh and Rest of India contributed Rs 1.49 crore.
