Sharing the announcement online, the platform wrote, “Patriot, the highly anticipated Malayalam political spy thriller. Starring the legendary Big M in an intense battle of power, politics and secrets. Releasing on 5th June in Malayalam on zee5.”

Some said the first half is good, some were happy with how the climax worked, but they didn’t appreciate the beginning. We produced the movie to entertain people. It’s good that everyone has an opinion on the movie. The film deals with a serious issue that needs to be talked about,” Mammootty said, Kerala Kaumudi reported.
