NTPC Limited has invited applications for the posts of Environmental Management and Contracts and Materials under two separate recruitment advertisements for 45 posts. The company has released the detailed eligibility criteria, distribution of posts, age limit and selection procedure for both the recruitments.These vacancies include 20 Assistant Officers in Environment Management and 25 Engineers in Contracts and Materials. The recruitment drive is part of NTPC’s expansion plans as the company aims to increase its installed capacity from 89 GW to 149 GW by 2032.Vacancies of Assistant Officer in Environmental ManagementUnder the Advertisement No. 06A/26, NTPC has announced 20 Assistant Officer Vacancies in Environment Management. Candidates applying for this post must have Graduate Engineering Degree in Environment with minimum 60% marks.Applicants with graduate degree and post-graduate qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Environmental Management are also eligible, provided they have obtained at least 60% marks from a recognized university or institution.The upper age limit for this post is 30 years. Selected candidates will be placed in E0 grade with pay scale of Rs. 30,000 to Rs.1,20,000As per the distribution of posts, eight posts are reserved for unreserved category, two for EWS candidates, five for SC candidates, three for ST candidates and two for OBC candidates.Engineer Recruitment Notification for Contract and Material DivisionUnder the Advertisement No. 06B/26NTPC has invited applications for 25 Engineer Posts in Contracts and Materials. Candidates should have BE or B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Production, Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, Instrumentation or Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks.Additional preference will be given to candidates with MBA or PGDBM qualification in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Operations Management, the notification said.Applicants must have at least four years of post-qualification executive experience in the power, oil, gas or steel sector. Of the total experience, at least two years should be in contract, purchasing, stores or procurement related work.Maximum age limit for engineer post is 32 years. Selected candidates will get pay with pay scale under E2 grade. 50,000 to Rs.1,60,000The category-wise distribution includes 13 vacancies for unreserved category, two for EWS, six for SC, three for ST and one for OBC candidates.Selection process and reservation detailsNTPC said the selection process may include application screening, written or computer-based test and personal interview depending on organizational requirements.For posts involving both written test and interview, final merit will be prepared with 85 percent weightage for online written test and 15 percent weightage for interview performance. Candidates have to qualify both the stages separately.The company has also confirmed that reservation for PwBD candidates will be implemented as per the government guidelines. Relaxation in upper age limit will be provided to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates as per existing rules.Medical Examination and Eligibility ConditionsThe recruitment notification has clarified that the selected candidates will have to undergo medical examination by NTPC Medical Board or authorized medical officers before joining. The decision of the Medical Board will be final and binding.NTPC has stated that only Indian nationals are eligible to apply and all qualifications must be obtained through full-time courses from recognized institutions in India. The company also noted that the total number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on organizational requirements.
