‘Jersey Shore’ star Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi has announced that she will undergo a hysterectomy after being diagnosed with stage 1 uterine cancer at the age of 38.

The reality TV star shared her diagnosis earlier this year. In a video shared on social media in January, Polizzi detailed the moment she discovered the cancer cells after further tests, including a colposcopy and biopsy. “The results come back,” he said. “The doctor calls me and says, ‘It doesn’t look great.’ He found cancer cells at the top of my uterus.”“I would love to just comment below to the community of moms who have done this and are dealing with it. So we have a community that is scared and dealing with this to be with each other because being a woman isn’t easy, and that’s definitely scary. And I know I’m going to be okay. It’s just…scary,” she said in the post.

Recalling the moment she got the news, she told the crowd: “I had a breakdown. I got to the car and called my mum crying hysterically, thinking the worst.”After further tests, the diagnosis confirmed that the cancer had not spread. Doctors have recommended a hysterectomy in the next few months, after which no additional treatment will be necessary. Polizzi said, “It’s not the worst case scenario and I can still deal with it. I’ll be fine.”
