While battling the flu, he worked on some scenes for the comedy series, PEOPLE reports.Kidman joins the series as Lace, a former professional wrestler turned lawyer. His first appearance was on April 22. Specifically, the scene where Lace meets Jinx and her daughter at a fan convention was a major problem for Kidman. The actor was surrounded by hundreds of extras at the fan convention and was feeling quite unwell at the time.

His co-host on the show, Offerman opened up about what happened on set while filming the final episodes of the series. She shared, “We’re in the morning, we’re warming up; some of us are going to have a real fight, and so we’ve got our doubles, we’ve got people we’re working with. And word comes that Nicole has the flu, and maybe we’re not going to take Nicole today. And we’re like, ‘Oh, no, that’s it, all day long, because we’ve made the circle.‘”He also remembered that Kidman was very ill; however, he still came to work that day to finish the scene. He added: “She was so pale, shaken. She had a really bad flu. She showed up and made sure we got all her shots, the whole superhero style, she did everything we needed so that we didn’t lose any of what we needed for her character.”
