In an official notice, NTA asked candidates and parents to rely only on official communication channels for updates related to the medical entrance exam.
The agency also shared its helpline details for students seeking clarification on the retest process.
The actual NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted on May 3. However, the exam was canceled after investigating agencies raised concerns about the integrity of the test process. The decision was taken with the approval of the central government after allegations of paper leaks and other irregularities surfaced.
The controversy intensified when reports claimed that several questions in the exam allegedly matched the content circulated in a leaked PDF ahead of the exam.
The cancellation left lakhs of medical aspirants uncertain about admissions, counseling schedules and preparation time, with students repeatedly demanding clarification on the re-exam date.
NTA had earlier said that the revised exam schedule will be announced separately through official channels. Now with the confirmation of June 21 date, students are expected to get new admit cards before the re-examination.
The agency has already clarified that candidates will not be required to submit new application forms or pay any additional examination fee for re-examination. Existing registration, form submissions and exam city preferences will remain valid.
New admit cards, city intimation slips and revised reporting instructions are expected to be released closer to the exam date.
