The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to open the objection window for the National Eligibility Entrance Test Undergraduate, or NEET UG 2026, soon. As per the latest public notice issued by the agency, the challenge facility will be activated after uploading the scanned OMR answer sheets on the official NEET website.After conducting the exam on 3rd May 2026, the provisional answer keys for all the question paper series were released on 6th May 2026. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the provisional answer keys after the objection process starts. Detailed schedule of OMR uploads and key challenges are yet to be answered.More than 22 lakh candidates appeared in the exam.NEET UG 2026 attendance was recorded at 96.92% across the country. Out of 22,75,011 registered candidates, 22,05,035 appeared for the exam conducted in pen and paper mode between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.The exam was conducted by more than 5,432 centers across 551 cities in India and 14 international locations. More than 200,000 officials, including city coordinators, observers, invigilators and center superintendents, were involved in conducting the examination.The authorities implemented several security measures during the examination process. Question papers and confidential material were transported by GPS-enabled vehicles under police supervision. CCTV surveillance systems were installed at all centers and linked to central monitoring rooms.Steps for raising objections against NEET UG 2026 answer keysCandidates will be able to submit objections through the official NEET portal after the activation of challenge facility by NTA.Actions to raise objections are expected to include:Step 1: Visit the official website of NEET.Step 2: Open the NEET UG 2026 Answer Key Challenge link.Step 3: Login using application number and password or date of birth.Step 4: Access the provisional answer key and scanned OMR sheet.Step 5: Choose a question or answer to challenge.Step 6: Upload supporting documents if required.Step 7: Pay the proposed objection fee online.Step 8: Submit the objection form and save the confirmation page.Safety monitoring and verification measuresAadhaar-based biometric authentication was used to verify candidates during the examination, NTA said. Candidates facing biometric verification issues due to technical issues, fingerprint quality or physical limitations were allowed to appear after manual verification and submission of written agreement.Officials also monitored social media platforms during the exam. More than 65 Telegram channels were blocked for allegedly spreading fake question papers and misleading content. Complaints related to such cases are forwarded to cybercrime authorities.Candidates are advised to check the official NTA and NEET websites regularly for updates on the scanned OMR upload schedule and activation of the objection window.
