The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the revised examination calendar for the academic session 2026-27. The updated schedule covers important examinations such as NEET-PG, NEET-SS, FMGE, and final examinations for DNB, DrNB, and Diploma courses. NBEMS has confirmed that NEET-PG 2026 will be conducted on 30th August 2026 (Sunday). This exam is one of the most competitive gateways for postgraduate medical seats across the country.
NEET-SS 2026 is scheduled in December.
For super specialty aspirants, NEET-SS 2026 is tentatively scheduled on 11th and 12th December 2026 (Friday and Saturday).Additionally, NBEMS has set a deadline of January 31, 2027 for completion of the necessary pre-qualification, thereby providing the necessary timeline to the candidates.
Revised Schedule of Final Examinations under DNB and DrNB Programme
NBEMS has also revised the schedule for conducting final examinations under Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB) programmes.
- Final Exam for DrNB Program October 2026 Session: 25th, 26th & 27th September 2026
- Final Examination for DrNB Program April 2027 Session: 26, 27, and 28 March 2027
Similarly, DNB Final Exam June 2026 session will be held from 18-21 June 2026 while December 2026 session will be held from 19-22 November 2026.Similarly, the DNB final exam (June 2026 session) will be held from 18 to 21 June 2026, while the December 2026 session is scheduled between 19 and 22 November 2026.
NBEMS Diploma Examinations were also outlined.
The Board has maintained the previously announced dates for the Diploma Examinations:
- NBEMS Diploma Final Theory Examination (June 2026 Session): 14, 15 & 16 May 2026
- NBEMS Diploma Final Examination (October 2026 Session): 11, 12 and 13 September 2026
