The interest in agriculture started years ago

Although many people noticed his agricultural activities during the lockdown, Mohanlal’s association with agriculture is said to have started much earlier. According to Kerala Kaumudi reports, he started growing vegetables on land near his residence in Elamakkara (Kaloor), Kerala’s Ernakulam district in the mid-2010s. During the lockdown years of 2020 and 2021, the “Lucifer” actor spent more time on farming activities and expanding green space. The half acre property was slowly transformed into an area full of various crops and plants.

Various crops found a place in Mohanlal’s garden

Mohanlal’s farming area includes various vegetables and plants grown using organic methods. According to reports, the property grows crops such as bitter gourd, beans, lady’s milk, tomatoes, green chilies, ash gourds, squash, corn and tapioca. Farm products also became part of his daily life. Whenever the actor spends time at his residence, he is said to use vegetables harvested directly from the garden for his daily meals. The initiative attracted attention for the importance of natural farming practices.

The ‘Ram’ actor encouraged others to grow vegetables

Mohanlal had earlier shared a video giving fans an inside look at his farming activities. In the picture, he was seen walking around the cultivated area while interacting with his gardener and inspecting the different crops. The actor was also seen picking vegetables from various parts of the garden.In the Instagram video, Mohanlal encouraged more people to start growing food at home, even in small spaces. He said, “We can all grow vegetables. You can even grow them on your terrace in little carrier bags.” The actor also revealed that additional herbs and new varieties of plants were added regularly to expand the crop.Former Kerala Agriculture Minister VS Sunil Kumar appreciated Mohanlal’s initiative and praised his role in promoting chemical-free agriculture.

‘Drishyam 3’ continues its strong performance at the box office

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is also enjoying success in theaters with ‘Drishyam 3’. The Jeethu Joseph-directed mystery drama has continued to maintain a steady momentum at the box office in its second weekend. According to Sacnilk trade figures, the film earned 5.35 crores on day 11. The latest figure reflected a 4.9 percent increase compared to the 10th day’s earnings of 5.10 million. “Drishyam 3” has reached 96.70 crores in Indian collections. At the same time, its gross collection in India has increased to 112.20 crores.
