Mirzapur: The film is easily one of the most anticipated projects of the year, and the excitement has only increased with the return of Divyenndu Sharma as Munna Bhaiya. With fans closely following every update, the actor has now shared a glimpse of what’s in store, and it looks awesome.Speaking to News18, Divyennu he couldn’t hold back his excitement. “It’s going to be big, really big. It’s going to be a lot of fun to shoot it; it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s something that people are looking forward to. Not to oversell or reveal things, but what we’ve done is glorious,” he said, hinting at a high-octane cinematic experience.
‘Exciting and challenging’
While Munna Bhaiya’s comeback has thrilled fans, Divyenndu admits that stepping into intense roles comes with its own pressures. The actor, who is also gearing up for action thriller Glory, spoke about navigating audience expectations.“It becomes exciting and challenging,” she shared, adding, “My character in Gloria is the most intense preparation I’ve done.”Supporting this ambition, Mirzapur founder Karan Anshuman revealed that the idea was always to push boundaries. “We have to create something bigger and better than Munna Bhaiya,” he told the actor.
‘I walk away from love’
Despite Munna Bhaiya’s huge popularity, Divyenndu is consciously trying to stay away from the shadow of the character. According to him, even appreciation can become a burden if it starts to influence choices.“As an artist, I completely distance myself from people’s love and appreciation, too, because that can be problematic. I don’t want that pressure on my shoulders that I have to be better than this character or that character. I have to move on from there,” he explained.
