Speaking to Pinkvilla, Mika Singh reflected on his humble beginnings before making it big in the music industry. “Touch wood, it’s my 99th house,” he said, before recalling his early struggles. “I never dreamed of owning 99 properties. But yes, I dreamed of being a singer. My first paycheck was 75 euros, and I never regretted getting paid that little. At 13, I was more than happy to earn that kind of money. I continued to perform in various jagrans, then my brother Daler Mehndi helped me a lot. I learned a lot from him. That’s when I realized that skill can get you these things.”
Mika Singh talks about his 50 million euro home
In the same interaction, Mika Singh revealed that he had bought the property in 2012 while living in Andheri West. He said, “There is a funny story about this flat. I took this in 2012. Before this, I lived in Shastri Nagar (Andheri West). I was happy there. Someone told me there is a very nice building here; you should check it out. And so I ended up buying six flats in the same building. It was completely empty. It took six years to finish, and they finally gave me that in 2018.”
Mika Singh reveals how Gauri Khan came on board
The singer shared how he helped Shah Rukh Khan connect with Gauri Khan for an interior design project. The “Something Something” singer said, “That’s when I met Shah Rukh Khan. He is a great friend and like a brother to me. I asked Gauri Khan to design my house. He said, ‘Bahaut lootegi tumhe (it will cost you a lot).’ I still persisted and finally met Gauri Khan. He had one request: ‘Never question my choices.“It took two years to prepare the house.”
Mika Singh gives a tour of his five-bedroom luxury home
Taking a tour of his residence, Mika Singh pointed out a special room reserved for guests. He said: “This is my junior suite, five star hotel type. I stop my special guests here. We have five bedrooms in total. It was an eight-bedroom flat, but Gauri Khan converted it into a five-bedroom flat.” He added, “There are five bedrooms in total, some for guests, some for family and one for me. I can easily host 40 people in this house. Forty people can sit comfortably here and chat.”The house also has a temple dedicated to Goddess Ganesh, Lakshmi and Saraswati. “Each of my houses has an idol of Lord Ganesh,” declared Mika.Mika Singh talks about his real estate investmentsSpeaking about his approach to money management, Mika said: “A lot of people waste money on accessories. I think if you’ve got good money, save it and invest it well. He said: “His house is on the tenth floor. He has taken the whole floor and his studio is on the sixth floor. His house is worth 50 million.
