Yungblud opened up about the increase in ticket prices
Recently, due to the increase in ticket prices for live shows, many artists are canceling their concerts, as many seats remain unsold. Artists included Zayn MalikPost Malone, Meghan Trainor and many more. Commenting on the critical scene in the music industry, Yungblud said: “Live music has become unaffordable – that’s true – and artists cancel all the time due to lack of ticket sales, because it’s a problem. It’s completely unaffordable for people,” he said on his official handle to promote his upcoming festival, Bludfest. “I really think we can make an impact with my community and make a difference and be an example of something that’s affordable, authentic, and about the community,” he continued.
MGK has since deleted the Yungblud tour pricing statement
In a comment that MGK has since deleted based on screenshots circulated on social media, he said: “You canceled a tour because you couldn’t sell tickets and blamed it on mental health and then it worked out. [paparazzi’d] The next day at Pinocchio’s Nobu,” before pointing out that Yungblud’s ticket prices are similar to those of other artists, according to Cosmopolitan. While fans exploded in the comments section, the 28-year-old didn’t immediately react. However, the group of the ‘Hated’ singer has shared his opinion. “Dom has not commented directly as he is very busy focusing on his sold-out North American tour and finishing his next album,” the statement said, adding that Yungblud has no time for such things and wishes MGK the best.
