Many people were looking forward to it the prince Harry returned to the UK for the prestigious Invictus Games events. One of the hot topics was seeing his family, Meghan Markletogether with their children, Lilibet and Archie, at the event. However, according to the latest reports shared online, the trio will not be accompanying the prince anytime soon. Here’s what we know about the issue so far.
Meghan Markle, Lilibet and Archie will not be joining Prince Harry in the UK
According to recent reports shared by PEOPLE, Prince Harry will visit the UK next month for the official Invictus Games event. However, his wife, Markle, will not be by his side this time. The 41-year-old is expected to travel to Britain in July for the games ahead of the 2027 competition. He will only participate in the promotional events that will take place in Birmingham, England. The outlet also reported that one of the main reasons his family will not be joining him is security. There have been concerns about the state of family protection in the UK.Another report in The Mail on Sunday, released earlier this year, confirmed that Prince Harry was eligible for security in Britain. At that time, the king tried to get approval to obtain security clearance for his wife and children; however, according to recent developments, the efforts have been futile.
Prince Harry hoped to connect Prince Archie and Lilibet with the British ways
Many had hoped the children would go to their father in the UK after reports of his concerns surfaced. According to a Page Six report published a few days ago, the Prince desperately wants his children to connect with their British roots. A statement from the same report quoted: “Harry is keen to reconcile with the royal family.”It went on to add that “while Harry would love to bring Markle, 45, and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, to his hometown, sources insist no firm plans have been made and the Invictus event comes first.”As for other developments, he hoped to reconcile Prince Harry with the royal family; however, the efforts have not been met with enthusiasm. Last weekend, her cousin Peter Phillips tied the knot with Harriet Sperling. While Prince Charles and Kate Middleton, along with King Charles and Queen Camilla, were invited to the event, the family was nowhere to be found at the event. Not only that, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also not been invited to this year’s Trooping the Colour, King Charles’ annual parade. The event takes place today, and while the royal family is gathering for the event, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not been invited again after stepping down as royals.
