The upcoming fantasy adventure ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ has already created excitement among long-time fans, including the cast. Javed Jaaferi and his son Meezaan Jafri. The father-son duo has entered the Hindi version Nicholas Galitzine starring Jaaved voicing the menacing Skeletor and Meezaan voicing the iconic superhero He-Man. Despite being professionally associated with the film, both actors say they first connected with the franchise as avid fans.For Jaaved, being a part of the film brought back fond memories of the early 90s, when the animated series was very popular among children and families. Recalling those days, he recounted, “‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ was a huge part of pop culture in the early 1990s. My kids and I watched the cartoons on TV.” The actor admitted that returning to the world of Eternia years later feels emotional and deeply personal.
Jaaved Jaaferi on the voice of Skeletor
Jaaved also opened up about getting into the shoes of the legendary villain Skeletor, portrayed by Jared Leto in the film. He said the experience was unforgettable: “Skeletor was such an iconic villain, evil, dramatic and unforgettable. After all these years, to be able to lend my voice to Skeletor feels nostalgic and surreal.” According to the actor, the bigger personality of the character made the dubbing process even more exciting.
Meezaan calls it a dream come true
For Meezaan too, being attached to the project became a nostalgic experience. Speaking about his childhood memories of the superhero saga, “He-Man was a huge part of my childhood. I remember being glued to the TV and being transported to the world of Eternia.” The young actor expressed his excitement at voicing one of the most beloved animated heroes for a new generation of audiences.The father-son duo was last seen together in ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, which also featured Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan. While Jaaved Jaaferi has been admired for his unique dancing skills, Meezaan Jafri has followed his footsteps tremendously. Their energetic face-to-face dance on the song ‘3 Shaukk’ went viral on social media.
