Through a video posted on social media, Meenakshi spoke about the next phase of her career. He thanked his supporters for being by his side over the years and said that their encouragement continues to motivate him. Addressing her followers, she said: “A warm namaste to my growing family of Instagram followers. Today I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your love, encouragement and continued support.”

The actor also revealed that he has returned to Mumbai after spending almost three decades in the United States. According to Meenakshi, returning to her professional home has given her a new sense of optimism as she prepares to re-enter the entertainment industry. Sharing details about his move, he said, “After 30 long years, I have relocated to my Karmabhoomi, Mumbai, India and re-entered the entertainment industry with hope, passion and positivity.

Meenakshi Seshadri looks for high impact roles on platforms

Meenakshi made it clear that she is not limited to a specific format or type of role. Instead, he’s interested in characters that provide substance and allow him to showcase his skills as a performer. Talking about the projects she hopes to take up, the actor said, “I’m looking forward to meaningful opportunities, be it a lead role, a supporting character or a short show. And it doesn’t matter if it’s an impactful performance. It can be movies or OTT shows.” He further explained that he looks at artistic growth rather than popularity. For Meenakshi, the opportunity to challenge herself creatively is more important than the size of the role. Reflecting on her goals, she stated: “I want to explore roles that challenge me as an artist and help me discover new dimensions of my craft.”

The actor also spoke candidly about the offers he has received since his return to India. Although opportunities have come his way, he revealed that many were not exciting enough or did not progress further. Sharing her experience, Meenakshi said, “You know, many offers came my way, but some were not exciting enough and some didn’t materialise. But I am managing this journey on my own, without any agency. And your support means everything to me at this stage.”He added that even though India is now his home base, he still spends time in the United States with his family whenever possible. Meenakshi points out that her return to acting is motivated by personal happiness rather than a desire to prove a point. He said that the encouragement of his family and fans has given him the confidence to start this new chapter. Expressing his sentiments, he said, “Look, my dear friends, I am not here to prove anything. I am here with the love and encouragement of my family.
