Rohtak: Bringing glory to Maharshi Dayanand University, NCC cadet Neha Sivach, 18, has secured an impressive all-India rank 14 among women candidates in the NDA 2025 final examination, the results of which were declared in April.Associate NCC Officer, MDU, Lt. Dr. Aarti said that Neha completed her schooling from Sarvodia School of Science, Amlota (Charkhi Dadri) and is currently pursuing her B.Sc. Mathematics (Hons) at MDU. Hailing from Pahariwar district of Jhajjar, she is an active and disciplined cadet of 2nd Haryana Girls Battalion NCC.Talking to TOI, Neha said that she is now waiting for her joining letter and is likely to start her training at the National Defense Academy, Kharkwasla soon. Reflecting on her preparation, she said she benefited from the SSB coaching available at the MDU campus. “I relied on self-study and focused preparation. I worked steadily on developing officer-like qualities step by step,” he said.Coming from a humble background, Neha said her father is a farmer and her mother is a homemaker. “Despite limited means, my parents ensured that I never felt any deficiency that could hinder my development,” he added.Sharing her motivation, Neha said she chose the armed forces to challenge stereotypes. “Few girls opt for defense services. I wanted to prove that women can excel in important roles like protecting the nation on the front lines,” she said.MDU Vice-Chancellor Professor Milap Punia congratulated Neha on her outstanding achievement and termed it a proud moment for the university.
