the director Matt Reeves received his casting role after Wednesday’s big reveal and confirmed several new additions to the cast of ‘The Batman: Part II’. A month after news of the new additions broke online, the director was officially welcomed back Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan and Charles Dance of the upcoming sequel starring Robert Pattinson.Reeves, who began introducing cast members on his X handle on Wednesday, picked up where he left off and introduced new faces joining the Gotham universe.Sharing a gif from 2013’s ‘Under the Skin’, Reeves welcomed Scarlett and wrote: “Next outing, Gotham… Welcome.”The filmmaker confirmed Stan’s involvement in the sequel, “in a Gotham situation… Welcome.”He also shared gifs of ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Charles Dance, alongside Bryan Tyree Henry who appeared in ‘Joker’ and ‘Eternals’ and German actor Sebastian Koch who appeared in ‘Homeland’ and welcomed the cast.According to reports, Stan will portray Harvey Dent, and Johansson will play his wife. This will mark the reunion of the stars who played the Winter Soldier and Black Widow for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Meanwhile, Dance is believed to be playing the role of Charles Dent, Harvey’s father.Also joining will be Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Real and Gil Perez-Abraham Martinez as Officer.“See you all in Gotham…soon,” the director concluded.The sequel is currently filming in the UK. Pattinson will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, alongside fellow cast members Colin Farrell, Oz Cobb, Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.While plot details remain under wraps, Reeves teased that the film’s story will unfold this winter.‘The Batman: Part 2’ will hit theaters on October 1, 2027.
