While chatting with Variety India, the veteran actor weighed in on passing the torch for the character to Nicholas Galitzine.He mentioned that it was an exciting and emotional moment for him to revisit one of his most beloved roles. Lundgren makes a brief appearance in ‘Masters of the Universe’. He mentioned, “It was an amazing experience to be on ‘Masters of the Universe,’ talking to a younger version of myself, played by Nicholas Galitzine. I was doing a mix of my old He-Man character and myself, while talking to someone who was basically taking on that role.He also said that the experience was surreal and out of this world, and that it was amazing: “It was amazing to watch someone doing what I did 40 years ago. It was a great experience.”The actor also praised the makers of the 2026 movie who have done a great job in bringing the entire character and universe to life. “When I saw the movie, I thought they did a good job. I think it turned out really well.”In 1987, Lundgren’s ‘Masters of the Universe’ grossed around $17 million at the box office. Along with the veteran star, the film stars Frank Langella as Skeletor, Meg Foster as Evil-Lyn, Billy Barty Gwildor, Courteney Cox as Julie Winston and many more.
