Mammootty everything is ready for his most awaited film ‘Patriot’ which will release on May 1st and the promotions are in full swing for the action film.
Interestingly, at a recent promotional event for the film, Mammootty praised actor-comedian Chinna Thamizha, saying that she has the same passion for acting as the “Youth” actress.
Mammootty says he has many more characters to explore
Mammootty made these remarks at a promotional event for his upcoming film Patriot, reported Cinema Express. During the interaction, a reporter asked if there were any unexplored roles left for him.
Mammootty responded immediately, showing complete confidence. “I have a lot more characters to explore. I have no doubts.”
‘Young’ star travel reference
In the same interview, Mammootty spoke about a recent successful event he witnessed. He referred to the emotional speech of Abison Thevarasa, known as Chinna Thamizha, without naming him directly.
“Recently, I saw the success of a movie called Youth. Many people spoke there. One of them gave an emotional speech, expressing his joy at the opportunity he finally got in the movies, even though his father encouraged him to play the roles.”
He used this moment to make a comparison. He explained that his passion for acting remains as strong as ever.
Mammootty also explained how the industry has evolved. He pointed out that promotional events were not common when he started his career.
Despite these differences, its momentum has not changed. “I have as much desire to act as he does,” he said.
The ‘Youth’ group reacts with gratitude
After the event, Chinna Thamizha responded to the quote. She took to social media to express her happiness. “This made my day. Thank you sir.”
Meanwhile, Ken Karunaas, who directed and acted in Gazte, also shared his reaction. “I can’t believe this happened to us. Thank you sir.”
Meanwhile, ‘Youth’ was a surprise hit in Tamil this year and ETimes’ review of the film noted: “To his credit, Ken Karunas has designed some laugh-out-loud comedy sets, and the guys around Praveen share a chemistry that doesn’t make the scenes feel entirely disposable. An unwatchable cliché, Youth stays on the right side of that line for most of its running time. He could have used twenty minutes less, however, and nothing of value would have been lost.’
