Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay continues to receive backlash from political leaders and film personalities after coming to power. He is the latest to speak about the actor-turned-politician Suresh GopiHe believes that it is too early to assess the performance of the new government.Speaking to reporters, the actor and Union minister said that Vijay should be given enough time to prove his skills as an administrator before facing criticism.Hindustan Times quoted him as saying, “Let Chief Minister Vijay work. Let him work and prove himself. It would not be right to criticize him beforehand. People have given him a chance. Let him do a good job.”
He welcomes the entry of Vijay’s party into Kerala
During the interaction, Suresh Gopi was also asked about the reports and discussions surrounding the possible expansion of Vijay’s political movement beyond Tamil Nadu.The leader made it clear that he had no objection to this movement and welcomed greater political participation. He suggested that any political party should be free to expand its activities wherever it wants.Responding to the question, he said, “What is the problem if the Tamil Nadu party that won victory starts in Kerala? If it comes, let it come. Let it come where it wants (Kerala), let it start. Let everyone come to benefit the world and the Tamil people.”

Earlier this year, Malayalam superstar Mammootty was also asked about Vijay’s transition from films to politics.However, the veteran actor chose not to share his opinion on the matter. In a brief interaction with reporters, Mammootty responded with a smile and chose not to engage in a specific discussion.He stated that he was unaware of the matter and politely apologized before moving on.
