MUMBAI: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the Class 12 (HSC) examination results for February-March 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 89.79%, an increase of 2.09 percentage points over the previous year. As in previous years, the girls have outperformed the boys. Konkan division has recorded the highest pass percentage, while Latur division is the lowest.Students can check their results online on official websites from May 2 at 1 PM.Key highlightsA total of 14,44,713 regular students had registered for the examination in nine divisional boards – Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan – covering science, arts, commerce, vocational courses and ITI streams. Of these, 14,33,058 students appeared and 12,86,843 passed, giving an overall result of 89.79%.Of the private candidates, 37,559 students had registered out of which 36,941 appeared for the examination and 29,634 passed, making the pass ratio 80.21 percent.For re-candidates, 50,876 students had registered, out of which 50,346 appeared for the examination. Of these, 18,349 passed, which is a pass percentage of 36.44%.A total of 8,446 differently-abled students had registered for the examination, of which 8,367 appeared and 7,579 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 90.58%.
