Kit Harington ‘Game of Thrones’ shared her unusual experience of filming intimate scenes with her sister, Sophie Turner. Both actors became well-known for playing the Stark siblings on the hit HBO fantasy series. However, years later, the two reunited for writer-director Natasha Kermani’s gothic horror film ‘The Dreadful’, where they would play coincidental lovers.Although both were excited about the script, they were caught over multiple kissing scenes and other intimate scenes that no one had anticipated. Speaking to former Game of Thrones co-star Peter Dinklage on Varitey’s Actors on Actors, Harington praised Turner’s growth as an actor, but admitted that filming the intimate scenes was “gross”.“Obviously I’ve known him since I was a kid,” Harington said. “She feels like my little sister. It was rough but it was okay…”He then went on to praise Kit Turner’s performance, saying: “He’s an amazing actor. I know we all know that, but he was a kid when he was cast (in GOT) but he’s amazing.”Dinklage echoed the sentiment, recalling scenes in which they played husband and wife on the drama series. “We had so many things together, the Tyrion and Sansa things. I would look around and think this is the best actor in this spotlight show. What he gave me was because he was so still. He was always so prepared and so much fun to act.”Kit wasn’t the only one who found the intimate scenes ‘gross’. Turner explained during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers: “I’m producing, so the director was asking me, ‘Who do you think?’ And immediately, the first person I thought of was Kit.”“And I sent the script to Kit, and he texted me like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to, but this is going to be really weird, Soph.’ And I said, what is he talking about? Then I was reading it, and I was like, ‘Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex scene.’ And then I say, oh shoot, that’s my brother. But it’s such a good script that he says: “We have to do it.”The actor admitted that filming those moments was as uncomfortable as they had hoped. “So we get it out of our heads, and then we go on set, and it’s the first kiss scene. And we’re both having a blast, it’s really, really gross. It was the worst, another really bad moment of my career,” Turner said.‘The Dreadful’ follows Anne, played by Turner, and her mother-in-law Morwen, portrayed by Marcia Gay Harden, as they live isolated lives on the fringes of society. Their lives are disrupted when a mysterious man from her past, played by Harington, returns and sets in motion a series of events that change Anne’s life forever.
