DHSE +2 Results 2026: The Kerala Higher Secondary Examinations 2026 results were announced by General Education Minister N Shamsuddin, marking the completion of the examination process for Class 12 students across the state and abroad.Results include candidates from 2005 schools in Kerala, Lakshadweep, and GCC countries. A total of 4.25 lakh students appeared for the exam this year under the framework of the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE).DHSE +2 Results 2026: Overall Performance and Aptitude3,72,423 students appeared in the higher secondary regular category out of which 2,09,398 students were found eligible for higher education. The overall pass percentage stood at 77.97 percent, showing a slight increase over last year’s 77.81 percent.The gender performance gap persists.Gender analysis revealed significant differences in performance. The pass percentage of girls was 86.89 percent while that of boys was 68.41 percent. This trend reflects a consistent pattern observed in previous academic cycles as well.Series performance highlightsIn academics, Science led with the highest pass percentage at 84.52%. Institutional and district performance Aided schools recorded the highest pass ratio among school categories at 82.82 per cent, followed by special schools at 85.67 per cent. Government schools recorded 72.66 per cent, while unaided schools recorded 78.18 per cent. Among the districts, Idukki emerged as the best performing district with 84.64 per cent, while Kasargod recorded the lowest at 71.72 per cent. Review of Test Scales and Assessments The examination was conducted across Kerala, Lakshadweep and GCC regions, ensuring the participation of students from various educational institutions. The assessment process was completed under the supervision of DHSE with standardized assessment across all streams. The results also showed that 30,561 regular students achieved full A+ grades in all subjects, reflecting high academic achievement within the cohort. Key Academic Observations The sciences remained the strongest performing stream, while the humanities continued to record relatively weak results. The performance gap between male and female students remained consistent, indicating a consistent trend in Kerala’s higher secondary results. Students who have qualified will now proceed for higher education admissions in universities and professional courses in Kerala and other regions.
