Suriya’s fantasy action entertainer ‘Karuppu’ continues its successful theatrical run across India and overseas markets. The film has held its own in the second week as well and has had a healthy jump in the collection on the 14th day.According to Sacnilk, the film collected 4.95 crores nett on day 14. The latest figures represent a 23.8% increase over the previous day’s net collection of 4.00 million.‘Karuppu’ recorded 14th day collections at 3,881 shows nationwide. With this, the film’s net collection in India has reached 168.15 crores. Currently the gross collection in India is 194.55 crores.The fantasy drama is steadily approaching the 300 crore mark worldwide with consistent collections from Tamil Nadu and overseas centres.
‘Karuppu’s overseas market is booming all over the world
‘Karuppu’ has also remained strong in the international markets. On day 14, the film collected 1.25 crore gross overseas. The total overseas gross collection has reached 72.50 crores. Karuppu’s worldwide gross collection currently stands at Rs 267.05 crore.The film had already collected 113.85 crores in the first week. In the second week, the film added another 54.30 crore nett to its overall tally.The Tamil version was once again the film’s strongest contributor on Day 14. It earned Rs 4.15 crore in 2,620 shows with 28 percent occupancy. The Telugu version collected 80 lakhs nett with 20 percent occupancy from 1,261 shows.The occupation of the Tamils improved as the day progressed. Morning occupancy started at 19.54 percent. Afternoon occupancy rose to 38.23 percent, while evening show occupancy was 38.38 percent. Night shows maintained a strong attendance of 35.15 percent.The Telugu version had an overall occupancy of 16 percent. The highest response was in the evening shows with 17.60 percent occupancy.Tamil Nadu continued to dominate the state gross collection chart. The state brought in 4.10 crore gross in just 14 days.

Apart from Tamil Nadu, the film also maintained decent collections in other southern states. Karnataka contributed Rs 50 lakh, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added a gross of Rs 88 lakh.Kerala contributed Rs 18 lakh, while the rest of India added to the total of Rs 4 lakh.
