In an interview with India Today, Saif spoke about the personal costs of pursuing a career in films. “I’m sure there have been sacrifices that have cost me personally professionally. We’ve also been lucky because as an actor you can’t take help in this profession.” He used a mountain climbing analogy to describe home as a “base camp” where one returns to recover and regain strength. According to Saif, spending too much time away can weaken that foundation and create distance from the people who matter most. Saif admitted that actors often miss out on important family milestones and private moments. “You also miss out on important personal moments,” he said.He added that fatherhood later in life made him much more aware of getting home on time. “At this age, I have become more aware of spending time with my family. Especially after having children a little later in life, I started to feel that I have to be at home at a certain time in the evening. That shift from nine to nine bothers me a lot, because you don’t start at nine and you don’t finish at nine. The last shot goes up at 9:30 and I don’t think life, I don’t think so. But yes, I made a lot of sacrifices, which was crazy,” he added.
