According to trade analyst site Sacnilk, on day 19, the film added Rs 2.35 crore from 3,003 shows on Tuesday. This takes the Indian Gross to 216.10 crores and the worldwide collection to 294.85 crores.In the first week of its release, the film was a huge hit and collected 113.85 crores. In the second week later, the film collected 54.30 crores. Later, as the film moved into its third week, it collected 3.74 crores on 3rd Friday, added 5.92 crores on 3rd Saturday, and took home 6.79 crores on Sunday. The next day, the film earned 2.76 crores on Monday and added 2.35 crores on Tuesday, registering the biggest drop.
About ‘Karuppu’
The film stars Suriya as Karuppuswamy, while director RJ Balaji also stars as the antagonist Advocate Baby Kannan. The ending of ‘Karuppu’ indicates that Karuppuswamy’s struggle is not yet over.
