Kangana Ranaut He credits the Dhurandhar franchise with breathing new life into the Indian film industry, calling it a much-needed revival at a time when Bollywood was struggling to stay relevant.Talking about the success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the actor said that the film has piqued the interest of the audience and bridged the gap between cinema and the audience.“The film industry was kind of disconnecting from the country. Audience participation was down, studios were running out and people didn’t want to watch those films anymore. South Indian films got more entry and recognition, especially because of their culturally focused content and relevant regional stories,” Kangana told ANI.
“People want to see their stories”
Highlighting the huge success of the franchise at the box office, he added that films rooted in relatable narratives are gravitating to audiences.“With such important films, people want to see them. The country has identified such films. You can see how the film has done amazing business because people wanted to see their stories. Dhurandhar has revived the film industry and given it a new hope,” he said.
Kangana praises R Madhavan
Kangana also praised her Tanu Weds Manu co-star R Madhavan for his work in the film, portraying a particularly inspired character. Ajit Doval.“Madhavan was awesome in the film. I have met Ajit Doval ji and he has got a great personality. I think there should be a completely separate Ajit Doval film. Only then an actor could do justice to his character. But Madhavan was very close. He is a very good actor,” he said.
