Amit Jani apologizes publicly to Govind Namdev

Adding to the issue, Amit Jani announced on X that legal action has been initiated against the actor.In her post, Jani wrote, “Govind Namdev ko legal notice diya. 7 din mein sarvajanik maafi maange aur production house ko 50 lakh rupaya jurmana de; anyatha kanooni karyavahi hogi.”The producer has issued a public apology to Namdev within seven days and demanded Rs 50 lakh as compensation from the production house. He also warned that legal proceedings will continue if the actor does not comply.

What Govind Namdev had to say about the film

The controversy started when Govind Namdev said he was taken aback by the teaser as it did not resemble the project he remembered shooting.The actor suggested that he was not aware of the final direction of the film and said that the version presented to the public was not what he had signed up for.His comments drew a lot of attention for his long association with the film industry and his collaborations with Salman Khan, including Wanted.

Before Namdev’s remarks, actor Sonu Mishra had also sparked controversy by revealing that he had been cast in a role that resembled Salman Khan.Mishra said he walked away from the project after realizing that the film presented what he described as a one-sided anti-superstar narrative.“I left because I didn’t sign the deal. We shot for two days, and I asked them for the deal and the script because they were doing a one-sided narrative against a superstar. So they understood that I wouldn’t fall for their trap,” he said. The actor also alleged that he was informed of plans that would later require him to speak negatively about the star in public, which he said was against his principles.“So all these things were against my ethics,” he added.
