Comparing the scale of the project to some of the biggest international franchises, he said, “It’s not just India, it’s a production that maps any big, big project in the world right now. So it’s fair to say we’re shoulder to shoulder with anything that’s out there. That being said, whether it’s Lord of the Rings or Avatar, it’s important that Ramayana actually precedes these global IPs and global epics. It wants to give you the same sense of scale and epicness as Lord of the Rings, but it’s supposed to have the same heart and journey as Avatar.”The first part of ‘Ramayana’ will hit the theaters on Diwali 2026, while the second part is slated to release on Diwali 2027.
