The group, which includes retired soldiers and people from various fields and is led by ex-bureaucrat SS Boparai, believes that Diljit should take the leadership role, largely because he has never actively sought it.

Diljit responded to the post by withdrawing the appeal and stating that he prefers to focus on acting and music. He wrote: “Kadey v Nhi… Mera Kam Entertainment Karna. (Never. My job is to entertain.
