According to the director, the character is darker and more intense than previously written.“For a star of his time to accept such a dangerous role is incredibly brave,” he said.

He also explained that it took almost three years for the team to fully understand the emotional reasons behind the character’s actions. After finally putting everything together, Jr NTR agreed to stick with the challenging role even though it might surprise his fans.“It took us almost three years to get to the emotional reasons why this character does what he does. When everything finally fell into place, he just said, ‘Let’s do it,’ even though he knew how challenging and unexpected it would be for his audience,” he added.The film is said to revolve around Luger, an operative linked to a substance smuggling syndicate, facing a crackdown by the authorities.
Actor of ‘Dragon’
Along with Jr NTR, the film also stars Rukmini VasanthAnil Kapoor, Biju Menon, Ashutosh Rana and Sidhant Gupta in important roles.It was previously reported that Tovino Thomas was slated to play a pivotal role in the film. However, the actor reportedly walked away due to scheduling issues and long shooting time.Later, rumors also suggested that Shahid Kapoor was being considered for the role of the main antagonist. However, the officials have not officially confirmed these reports yet.The film is slated to release on June 11, 2026.
