Hollywood actress John Krasinski He has praised Indian cinema while talking about Dhurandhar, the hit spy franchise Ranveer Singh and directed Aditya Dhar.In an interview with NDTV for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, Krasinski reacted to Jack Ryan playing his CIA agent and Dhurandhar spy protagonist Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.

‘I would like to see the film’

Although he admitted that he hasn’t seen Dhurandhar yet, John Krasinski spoke highly of Indian filmmaking and revealed that Hollywood filmmakers are constantly impressed with cinema coming from India.“I haven’t seen the movie. But as far as Indian movies go, it’s generally some of the most cutting-edge filmmaking we have. I know a lot of my filmmaker friends who are trying to direct movies are constantly and constantly amazed by the movies that come out of there,” Krasinski said.The actor-filmmaker added that he would love to see the Ranveer Singh starrer if given the chance.“Sure. I love watching anything. It’s always inspiring to see what other people are doing,” she shared.

Dhurandhar has emerged as a massive franchise

The Dhurandhar franchise has emerged as one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema. Released in December 2025, the first installment reportedly earned around 1.35 billion worldwide, while the sequel Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge went on to surpass these numbers with a global crossing of 1.833 billion.The films features Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari/Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an undercover spy navigating the dangerous world of intelligence and Karachi’s underworld.The other actors are Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, Manav Gohil and Gaurav Gera.

Dhurandhar 2 was headed for an OTT release

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is gearing up for digital release. The uncensored “Raw & Undekha” trailer, which is almost four hours long, premiered internationally on Netflix on May 15, 2026.The Indian streaming launch on JioHotstar is scheduled for June 5, with a special launch event planned for June 4.
