Asked about their pairing, she admitted: “I love Karl. He’s from New Zealand, so he’s a neighbor. I’m Australian, obviously. So there’s definitely a shared knowledge already because we grew up very similarly in the Southern Hemisphere,” she said.Speaking about their on-screen chemistry, she said: “We have quite a few mutual friends, so it was easy. I’m very lucky. That might have been, you know, we needed really good chemistry and friendship first, I think, to make the chemistry work on screen, and we had that, we had a lot of fun. We had a lot of fun.”He also praised Urban’s collaborative approach while discussing how they worked together to deepen the relationship between the characters. She shared, “Karl was always very encouraging and open to ideas. And, you know, for us, a lot of time was spent trying to find different parts throughout the script where we could maybe connect our story with a little more kind of subtext, knowing that as we move forward in this franchise, we develop, you know, there’s a lot more to the franchise going forward in our relationship.“Considering that Sonya and Johnny are one of the most interesting pairings in the game, McNamee hinted at a possible romance between the two. She shared, “So it was about trying to find subtle places that we could infuse a little bit more with some things like reading between the lines. So it was fun, trying to discover little moments that we could put a little bit more into, giving more weight to their relationship.“Urban reflects on his transformation from the fan-favorite role in “The Boys” to the worldmortal kombatMcNamee admitted he was fascinated by the contrast. “He’s so rough and alpha in ‘The Boys.’ And then it’s kind of like, you know, it goes into ‘Mortal Kombat’ having to be the antithesis of that, pretty safe and on the back foot and without any control. And so it was a lot of fun,” he said.Having followed Urban’s career for years, McNamee said he was eager to see how he would approach the iconic character. “It was fun, obviously, because I saw his work on ‘The Boys.’‘Mortal Kombat’ will release in Indian theaters on May 6.
