Janhvi Kapoor Buchi Babu is currently promoting his upcoming second outing in the sports action drama ‘Peddi’ with Ram Charan directed by Sana. The ‘Param Sundari’ actor spoke about the different languages of India and shared his thoughts on Malayalam.
Janhvi Kapoor talks about the Malayalam language
Janhvi Kapoor in an interview with IANS said that she doesn’t see herself doing a Malayalam film anytime soon as she finds the language very difficult and also mentioned that she has a lot of respect for the language. “I don’t think I should try Malayalam again because it’s so difficult. It’s such a beautiful and sweet language for me.”Although Janhvi Kapoor hasn’t acted in a straight Malayalam film, she already has an association with Malayalam cinema. His 2022 film Mili was the Hindi version of the Malayalam thriller ‘Helen’. Recently, ‘Param Sundari’ also gave him an opportunity to portray a character with strong Malayali roots.
Comfortable with Telugu and Tamil
In the same interview he added that he knows Tamil and Telugu languages very well and would like to work in Kollywood. He said, “But I think I know Tamil and Telugu more phonetically. I’m really enjoying working in Telugu films and would love to explore Tamil films.”The ‘Devera’ actress is getting a warm response from the Telugu audience and is currently concentrating on her Telugu projects.
About ‘Peddi’
Talking about ‘Peddi’, Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, Achiyamma. The film is a sports action drama set in Andhra Pradesh and tells the story of a village that brings people together through sports. It also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Ravi Kishan and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.It will be released on June 4.
