The association denies involvement
Gopi strongly rejected claims linking the editor to the leak. He stated that the editors would never do such work and confirmed that an internal inquiry had already been carried out.He added that the main accused behind the leak will be arrested soon, as six people have already been arrested.
Defense of the editor Pradeep
Gopi specifically defended Jana Nayagan editor Pradeep, saying that he should not have been accused without evidence. He noted that the investigation is still ongoing and people should not point fingers based on the leaked edited copy. The association emphasized that leakage appears to be a larger systemic problem.
Call the manager Ameer
Director RK Selvaman asked director Ameer to take back his statements against the editors and the crew. He warned that such accusations could damage the reputation without any basis.Selvamani also stated that piracy is not new and called for better systems to prevent future leaks as digitization grows.
Police investigation update on ‘Jana Nayagan’ spill
The Cyber Crime Wing of the Tamil Nadu Police is actively investigating the case. They have initiated block requests for over 300 infringing links and are monitoring social media and file sharing platforms, The Hindu reported.Six people have been arrested and handed over to judicial custody. The case has been registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, IT Act, Copyright Act and Cinematography Act.
CBFC clarifies stand
The Central Board of Film Certification denied any role in the leak. In a statement, the council said that reports of leaks originating from them are baseless.It has been clarified that access to the content is protected by a password and remains at the discretion of the KDM producer.Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ is said to be a complete entertainer of the stock.
