Veteran Hollywood actor James Handy, known for his roles in ‘Jumanji’ and ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, has sadly passed away. He was 81 years old.According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the actor was brutally murdered on Wednesday at his home in Tarzana, California, The New York Times reported. According to reports, officers responded to a distressed 911 call. Authorities said the caller told dispatchers, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”When officers arrived, they found Handy unconscious in the backyard of the property with multiple stab wounds to the chest, police said. Emergency responders took Handy to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.According to reports, Handy was allegedly killed by a man identified as 44-year-old Michael Gledhill. He approached the police and stated that he was responsible for the attack. Investigators have identified Gledhill as the son of Handy’s girlfriend.Surveillance footage from the scene shows footage of a man walking past the suburban home. The crime scene photos also showed pieces of clothing left in front of the house.At the time of the murder, he was living in his mother’s residence.Police later arrested Gledhill on suspicion of murder. The circumstances leading to the fatal stabbing remain under investigation, and police have not yet released a possible motive.Authorities say his bail has been set at $2 million.Handy had a career spanning several decades in Hollywood and had almost 150 films to his credit. Throughout his career, he has starred in numerous film and television projects, including hit TV shows such as ‘The X-Files’, ‘NYPD Blue’, ‘Seinfeld’ and many other productions.The investigation into his death continues.
