Arul Patel is a 27-year-old cricketer from Gujarat who bats right-handed and also keeps wickets. Although relatively new to IPL fans, he has built a strong reputation in domestic cricket for his fearless batting and quick scoring ability. Arul was first picked up by Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2023 at a base price of Rs 20 lakh. However, he did not get a single chance during his tenure with the franchise and was released before the IPL 2024 auction.Despite his impressive domestic performance, Arrol surprisingly went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction as well.His fortunes changed when Chennai Super Kings signed him as a replacement for the injured Vinash Bedi during IPL 2026.
