New Delhi: Virat Kohli IPL history continues to be rewritten, adding yet another milestone to his illustrious career during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL 2026 clash against Gujarat Titans at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. After already becoming the first batsman to hit 800 fours in the tournament, Kohli achieved another milestone of hitting 300 sixes in the IPL. With 303 sixes to his name, the RCB stalwart is now the third player in the league’s history to cross the 300 mark.In doing so, Kohli joined an exclusive club that included two of the most devastating batsmen the league has ever seen – Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma. Gayle, who has represented franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) and RCB, is comfortably on top with an astonishing 357 sixes in 142 matches. He is followed by former Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma, who has hit 310 sixes in 276 matches. Kohli, who has been synonymous with RCB since 2008, now stands alongside the giants with 303 sixes in 274 matches, besides being the highest run-scorer in IPL history with 8,989 runs. While all three make up the 300-plus club, several other big names feature prominently on the six-hit chart. MS Dhoni, who has led Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiant, has hit 264 sixes, known for his excellent skills. South Africa’s AB de Villiers (251 sixes for Delhi and RCB) brought innovation and 360-degree strokeplay to the league.Among the active players, David Warner (236 sixes), Sanju Samson (234), and Andre Russell (223) dominated the attack, while Kieron Pollard also hit 223 sixes in an impressive Mumbai Indians career. KL Rahul, representing multiple franchises, has hit 218 sixes with his classy yet powerful style. Most sixes in the Indian Premier League
