Shabman GulK-Class 86 thrashed Gujarat Titans by five wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2026 on Friday, after Kagiso Rabada and Mohammad Siraj ensured victory with a disciplined new-ball spell earlier. Rabada (3/29) and Siraj (2/23) ripped through the KKR top order, making full use of movement off the pitch and early support. Their early successes left KKR struggling at 37 for 3 in the Powerplay, a finish from which they never fully recovered. Despite the early loss, KKR found resistance Cameron Greenewho played a lonely but determined hand with 79 off 55 balls. It was his most impressive innings of the season, with controlled aggression and a strong partnership with Rowman Powell and Anukul Roy. However, regular wickets at the other end prevented him from making a match-deciding stand. Green also enjoyed a few moments of good fortune, escaping an early lbw rout, chasing an edge for four runs, and was dropped for 62 by Washington Sundar. Despite this, he continued to keep KKR on pace before finally collapsing in the last over Rashid Khan. In reply, Gujarat Titans took control early on, with Gayle dictating terms in the powerplay. He hit three boundaries and a six within the first three overs, including a crisp straight drive, which set the tone for the chase. Gill then paced his innings beautifully, combining fluidity with control. His innings of 86 included eight fours and four sixes, as he ensured that GT remained ahead throughout the chase despite the occasional fall of wickets. Sai Sudharsan provided early support earlier.
