During Karthik Tyagi’s dismissal, Bethel accidentally drops his gold chain on the ground and leaves without seeing it.Tyagi surprised the left-hander with a sharp short ball. Bethel tries a pull shot but only manages an uppercut.
The ball hit his helmet and popped up for the bowler to take an easy catch. During the confusion, his gold chain fell onto the pitch. Moments later, Devdutt Padikal, who came in to bat next, saw the chain, picked it up, and returned it safely to Bethel.The rare occurrence came in a match dominated by Virat Kohli, who returned to form with a stunning unbeaten century. Chasing 193, Kohli scored 105 off 60 balls with 11 fours and three sixes to give RCB a six-wicket victory with five balls to spare.Kohli also shared a crucial 92-run partnership with Devdutt Padikal, whose quick-fire 39 helped stabilize the chase after Bethel’s early dismissal. The win moved Bengaluru to the top of the IPL 2026 table with 16 points, ahead of Gujarat Titans on net run rate.Earlier, KKR posted 192/4 thanks to Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s impressive 71 and Rinku Singh’s late unbeaten 49.
