Heinrich Klassen Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their phenomenal IPL 2026 campaign by becoming only the fifth batsman in the franchise’s history to complete 2000 IPL runs. The South African reached the milestone during SRH’s high-scoring clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Hyderabad on Friday. Klaasen scored a quick 51 as SRH posted 255 for 4, Ishan Kishan 79 and Abhishek Sharma 56. The innings also helped Klaasen tie the record for most 50-plus scores in an IPL season by batting at No. 4 or lower. He now sits alongside Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell with six such scores.

Klaasen’s consistency since joining SRH has been remarkable. In just 53 innings, he has already crossed 2000 runs at an average of around 46 and a strike rate of over 169, making him one of the most impressive middle-order batsmen in the league.

While RCB still need 166 runs to keep their top-two hopes alive, Hyderabad’s explosive batting display once again underlined why they are one of the most dangerous batting sides in IPL 2026.
