Cameron Greene Has declared himself fully fit to bowl his full quota of overs and is ready to bat in any position for Kolkata Knight Riders as the defending champions continue their impressive comeback in IPL 2026.KKR registered their fourth consecutive win after defeating Delhi Capitals by eight wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Friday. The victory came thanks to a sensational unbeaten century by Finn Allenwhile Green also scored a useful 33 and took the wicket of Nitish Rana in his only over. The win marked another step in KKR’s turnaround after they started the season without a single victory in their first six matches. Despite a poor start, the Kolkata franchise has now climbed to the seventh spot in the points table and has kept its playoff hopes alive.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Green spoke about his bowling workload after being initially treated with caution due to a lower back injury. The Australian all-rounder revealed that he is now fully prepared to bowl four overs whenever required.“I’m 100 per cent ready to bowl four overs. I think just the make-up of our team helps. We’ve got Anukol Roy, who is unusual for us, bowls one or two overs. That means I can bowl two or three overs, which is a really big help,” Green said.He also highlighted how KKR’s balanced bowling attack gives the side flexibility with multiple options throughout the innings.“Having a left-arm all-rounder potentially bowling in the middle means I can bowl in the powerplay, at the death or even in the middle. We have six guys we can go to, and Anukol and I help each other in our overs.”Green was one of the most expensive players in the IPL 2026 auction, signed by KKR for Rs 25.20 crore. However, the Australian insisted that the hefty price tag has not created any additional pressure on him.“I’ve never felt any pressure from the guys on the team or the coaching staff. They’ve been great about it. Plus, I’ve been through it three times so far, so I’m pretty used to it,” Green explained.
