New Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar finally made his debut for Lucknow Supergiants after being handed his maiden LSG cap ahead of the team’s final IPL 2026 league match against Punjab Kings at the Ekna Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.Arjun also got a chance to bat and remained not out for five as LSG, after Punjab Kings batted, scored 6/196 in their 20 overs. Captain of LSG Rishabh Pant Introduced Arjun into the attack soon after the powerplay.The young left-arm fast bowler impressed, conceding just four runs in his first over and did not allow boundaries to Shreyas Iyer and Prabhasmaran Singh.Arjun also came close to taking a wicket in the over.He bowled a short ball to Prabhasmaran, who attempted a pull shot. The ball cleared the glove and flew to the left of wicketkeeper Pant. The LSG captain dived and managed to get both gloves to the ball, but failed to hold onto it.Arjun, who had already jumped in celebration, was disappointed after Pant dropped the catch.Earlier for LSG, opener Josh Inglis scored 72 off 44 balls, hitting nine fours and two sixes, while Ayush Baduni scored 43 off just 18 balls during the middle overs.Towards the end, Abdul Samad provided the finishing touch with an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls.For Punjab Kings, leg-spinner Yuzvinder Chahal (2/25) and Marco Johnson (2/33) were the most successful bowlers.
