Brett Lee praises Shah Rukh Khan’s humility
Talking about Shah Rukh’s personality, Brett Lee said that the actor’s journey to global superstardom has never changed him as a person.“He came from nothing and now he has gone from not being the biggest actor in Bollywood, but the biggest actor in the world. You would think that someone who has achieved greatness would have an ego, be short and not give the fans what they want. Not at all. Not Shah Rukh Khan. He is an absolute gentleman. I have nothing but great things to say about him,” shared Lee.The former fast bowler also revealed that he shares a friendship with the superstar. “We have a bit of a friendship. I’m very lucky to call him my friend,” he added.
‘Inshallah we will win tonight’
Recalling Shah Rukh Khan’s pre-match speeches to the KKR players, Brett Lee said the actor would always maintain a calm and motivating atmosphere before games.“He would always come in and give his little pep talk before the game, which was, ‘Okay, guys. You’ve been training hard. You look good. You feel good. We’re going out there. Inshallah we’re going to win tonight,'” Lee recalled.The cricketer also mentioned that Shah Rukh never created any pressure in the team environment and instead maintained a “nice, calm, relaxed and controlled” atmosphere in the camp.
Shah Rukh Khan gearing up for ‘King’
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in King. The film stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan in important roles.A few days ago, behind-the-scenes videos from the film’s sets went viral online, showing Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone shooting what looked like a romantic sequence in Cape Town.In some of the clips doing the rounds on social media, Shah Rukh was also seen taking care of a pregnant Deepika and allegedly making sure she was comfortable during the shoot.Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action thriller is slated for a Christmas 2026 release.
